Having overcome his youthful experiences of a realistic-impressionist nature, Gianni D'Adda arrives at neo-figuration through the transition from story to symbolic language, in which the image takes on a different connotation and the formal structures are simplified. In the 70s and 80s his attention was turned to mass visual communication and he did so through a protest painting with which he denounced the socio-cultural contradictions of the time but his gaze was also turned to the past: Doric columns, temples and divinities, sediments of the cultures and civilizations that preceded us, always with a background of blue sky. This is a color that accompanies our artist's painting in its journey: light blue and blue provide a feeling of satisfaction and harmony, presupposing intuitive refinement, as well as the ability to reflect and meditate.
