Adriano Dalla Valentina (1945 - ) was born in Murano in 1945. He started working in a furnace at the age of 10. For the next 14 years he worked in numerous brickyards, thus perfecting his style. With such vast experience, already at the age of 24 he was able to establish his independence by opening his own studio. Over the years he has built a reputation as a great Murano master. He dedicated himself to collaborating with the students of the Art Institute of Venice thanks to his passion for glass aimed at preserving the Murano tradition. His talent is expressed in many glass-working techniques, but he is best known for the typical Venetian style: the "murrine and canes" workmanship. He shares his experience with renowned architects and designers, reproducing their projects on glass. Masterpieces by Adriano Dalla Valentina are currently on display in major European cities, in Japanese museums and art galleries in America.
