Born in Venice, but resident in Rome for her entire life, self-taught or almost, Lia Dall'Oglio Sicher, in her early youth attended the studies, first, of the painter Egisto Lancerotto, and, later, of the master Antonio Barrera. Present at almost all the exhibitions of the Fine Arts Union of Lazio, at many Quadrennials, at the «Portrait Competition» exhibitions in Sanremo, at the Riverside Museum in New York and at the Tiberina Academy, the painter obtained an honorable mention at the «Female Competition of the Portrait" at Sanremo in 1938 and a special prize at the Europa International Art Exhibition held at the Accademia Tiberina in 1966.
