Around 1934 he became interested in the problems posed by cubist research, and above all by synthetic cubism. In 1944 he held his first solo show at the Cavallino gallery. In 1946, together with Carlo Scarpa and Anton Giulio Ambrosini, he founded the Free School of Plastic Arts, and in the same year he was called to teach scenography at the University Institute of Architecture of Venice, where he remained until 1971. In the early fifties the artist he oriented himself towards abstraction. In 1951 he signed the Manifesto of spatial art in Milan, and then the Manifesto of the spatial movement for television. During the sixties and seventies Deluigi continued his research on light. He takes part in national and international artistic events, including the Venice Biennials and the Rome Quadrennials.
