Piero De Martini (1939 - ), born in Milan in 1939, is an architect and designer. After graduating in Architecture in 1964, he dedicated himself to freelancing in the field of residential construction and conservative restoration. Since 1969 he has been involved in design and in 1975 he began collaborating with the Cassina furniture company: the La Barca program was born, elements in natural ash which, variously composed, form sofas, tables and beds. Further products for Cassina and other companies follow, with particular reference to home furnishings, appreciated and reported in various publications and exhibitions. Piero De Martini is also a pianist and musicologist by passion. For Bruno Mondadori he published "Il Conservatorio delle Alpi" in 2009 which traces the history of the SAT Choir (Società Alpinisti Tridentini). The volume intertwines the path of the group of founding boys, gifted with innate musical knowledge, with the personal story of the author, passionate about mountain songs and melodies.
