Paolo Deganello (Padua 1940) studied and graduated in architecture in 1966 in Florence. In 1963 he began his activity as a designer: one of his first important works was the restoration of Orsanmichele in Florence on behalf of the Superintendency of Monuments. In 1966, together with Andrea Branzi, Massimo Morozzi and Gilberto Coretti, he founded the Archizoom Associati group, the first Radical Architecture group. Lucia Morozzi and Dario Bartolini will subsequently join. Since 1974, the year the group disbanded, he has worked alone with occasional collaborations. Since 2006 he has been a professor at ESAD in Matosiñhos (PT) in the "Interior Architecture" course. Since 2008 he has been a professor of Design at the Faculty of Architecture of Alghero in the Industrial Design course. Since 2009 he has been a professor of design in the Master of Sustainable Architecture at ESAD in Porto. Since 2009 he has been the creator, together with Emilio Battisti, of the counter-proposal for Expo 2015 in Milan.
