Andrea del Sarto (Florence, 1486 - Florence, 1530) Included by Vasari in the list of the greatest Florentine painters, he trained as a goldsmith and was then a pupil of Piero di Cosimo. It was very successful in Florence, after Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo left the city and became a model for painters such as Pontormo or Rosso Fiorentino. He traveled to Rome and to Fontainebleu in France. His works are preserved in the most important museums and galleries.
