DELTA 2 born 1965 grew up in the Spanish section of Harlem in Manhattan and became involved in subway painting in the late 1970s. His early observations of IRT Kings like LEE and BLADE inspired him to create his own style. Delta's subway painting career peaked in the early to mid-1980s. He became famous for his rapid takeovers of lines 6 and 4. During this period Delta also founded the Kings Arrive crew.
Throughout his career he has collaborated with writers such as MACK, SWAN, JOEY TDS, SHARP, PART ONE and others. Delta 2 has also been successful on the international art scene. Since 1984 he has painted in more conventional contexts. He attended a graffiti art presentation by Guillaume Gallozo for Valentino's 25th anniversary in Rome, Italy, and has exhibited and sold paintings throughout Europe.
Delta's current work features traditional aerosol paintings, like his work at New York's 2005 Graffiti Hall of Fame, and meticulously detailed line illustrations and lettering explorations. He also continues to work on artistic and commercial commissions.
