Uldino Desuò (1929 - 2014) was born in Villanova Marchesana in 1929 and after completing his high school studies, he acquired the elements of artistic technique by attending painting and sculpture courses. From '58 to '64 he was the technical-artistic director of the "Aretini" art ceramics in Camerino: precious years for color studies. From '66 to '72 he was a ceramist at the "Ceramiche Borg" and a freelance teacher of sculpture and drawing in the innovative Novara school of maestro Di Salvatore. In 1970 he opened his own studio as a sculptor and graphic designer in Borgo Vercelli; soon he will be in Novara. Since 1980 he has dedicated himself almost exclusively to research and experimentation on materials. Numerous personal and collective exhibitions; among the main ones are the National Ceramics Exhibition in Gubbio in '56, the National Youth Art Exhibition in Rome in '58, "Painting and Sculpture" in Novara in '59, a solo exhibition in Trento in '63, "New Research " in Gignese in '74, International Sculpture Exhibition at the Pagani Foundation of Castellana in '84, "Provoking matter" at the Castle of Galliate in '98, "Fragments and rubble" in Omegna in '99 and "Uldino Desuò - Yesterday and today" in Borgo Ticino in 2005. His works appear in private and public collections in Italy and abroad, including: Bank of Italy and church of Pope John in Novara, Salesian church of Borgo San Martino in Casale, church of San Giovanni della Pace in Milan, Pagani Foundation in Castellana, in Athens, Basel and Saudi Arabia.
