Loi di Campi was born in Campi Salentina in 1948. After a brief experience as a teacher in middle and high schools, in the 80s he founded an artistic ceramics company together with his wife, with the DE.AR brand. Thus began a fruitful international exhibition experience, participating in the most important fairs in the art ceramic sector for more than 20 years. At the same time he combines the experience of the art product with painting, always in the constant and rigorous expressiveness of research. Thus Loi di Campi's painting is full of chromatic vitality, according to an abstract compositional procedure. From the end of 2012 to today he has focused on white, and surfaces become the field for futuristic architecture. Multi-dimensional white structures are born, real plastic scenography. Cities that go beyond the imaginative dimension for a dream in the ufological ether. In the constant linguistic contamination of multimedia art, Loi di Campi does not neglect research, he practices experimentation with the help of the interdisciplinary element of computer design. He creates works with overlapping and juxtapositions of colored surfaces previously taken and processed. Thus a further poetic "game" of metamorphosis is born. Not to be overlooked is the other aesthetic that Loi di Campi practices professionally: music. It can certainly be said that painting cannot do without music. He has held solo and group exhibitions in multiple cities. In 2015 he was called by the illustrious art historian Prof. Carlo Franza to hold a personal exhibition entitled “Novelle architecture” in the “Scenari” project at Plus Florence in Florence and a second entitled “Aisberg. Modules and geographies” at Plus Berlin in Berlin in the “Roads of Europe” project. In 2016 he was again in Berlin at Plus Berlin, invited by the critic Prof. Carlo Franza with a personal exhibition of papers entitled "Moduli". In 2016, invited by Prof. Carlo Franza, he won the Arts and Culture Award (Museum Award) in Milan at the Circolo della Stampa and the "Premium International Florence Seven Stars" in Florence. In 2017 he won the Salento Arte Contemporanea 2017 Award and the “Turris Magna 2017” Award in Tricase (LE). Carlo Franza has written extensively about his work in Il Gionale.
