Lucio Diodati was born in 1955 in Popoli, a small town in the hills of Abruzzo, Italy. He discovered his passion for painting during high school, when he began creating his first works. In 1975 he attended a scenography course at the Academy of Fine Arts in L'Aquila, officially entering the world of art. The turning point of his career was the meeting with Gennaro Fiume, an Italian gallery owner who invited him to exhibit in his gallery in Rome. Nature was the subject of his early works, characterized mainly by flowering fields and the use of primary colors. With the work "Amiche" from 1985, women become the protagonists of his paintings. Female bodies and colors come together to tell a story that is still ongoing. In 2002 he went to Havana for the first time and from that moment the city represents a second home, a place where the artist is inspired and frees his mind. Diodati's works have been exhibited in major cities around the world: New York, London, Montreal, Barcelona, ​​Havana.
