Mario Donizetti Biography
Mario Donizetti (Bergamo, 23 January 1932) is an Italian painter and essayist. Technical research conducted with scientific rigor led him to use absolutely personal methods for his work such as his painted and veiled egg tempera, his "encaustic", his encaustic pastel. Founder, in 1977, of the "Centro di Ricerche Tecniche dell'Arte" and, in 2003, of the "Donizetti Museo Scuola", Donizetti disseminates his techniques via the internet (donizetti-museoscuola.it) with texts in various languages (English, French , German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese) as well as with filmed lessons dubbed in English. He collaborates with newspapers and magazines with essays on aesthetics and restoration diagnostics. In 1983 he received the honor of an anthological exhibition in the rooms of the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan. Passionate about music, he created a "New Method of Musical Writing" by eliminating the pentagram.
