Benny Dröscher (1971 - ) belongs to the young generation of artists who have characterized Danish art with imaginative and stimulating works of art in recent years. Most recently, he executed a distinctive sculpture for the sculpture exhibition "Rome on Kongens Nytorv", which marks the 50th anniversary of the Danish Institute of Science and Art in Rome. As a painter and graphic artist, Benny Dröscher has exhibited since the early 1990s at the Charlottenborg autumn exhibition at, among others, the Malmö Art Museum, the Aarhus Art Museum, the Arken Art Museum, at Specta Gallery, Mogadishni Gallery and has sold works to the Arken Art Museum, Copper Engraving Collection and Malmö Art Museum. Benny Dröschers' image of the world is ambiguous, an almost ironic combination of the authentic and the synthetic, which leaves us in doubt about what we are faced with. It poses an affectionate, poetic and sharp question mark in the relationship between reality and imagination. The result is fun and fascinating, and he does so with the artistic impact and unique form of expression that has placed him as a significant figure in young Danish art.
