Giuliano Emprin was an Italian painter born in Turin in 1902. After graduating in Law, he dedicated himself exclusively to painting, frequenting the studio of the artist Agostino Bosia. In 1929 he exhibited for the first time at the Promotrice Belle Arti in Turin, where he participated in all subsequent exhibitions. From 1929 to 1991 he participated in all the exhibitions of the Circolo degli Artisti of Turin, while in 1931 he exhibited at the I Quadrennial of Rome and in 1936 and 1950 at the Venice Biennale. He earned various awards, including the Avondo Prize in 1931, the Albarello Prize in 1932 and 1938, and the Fine Arts Union Prize in 1933, among other prizes. Two of his works, Maccagno Inferore and Paesaggio, are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Turin. Emprin was a member of the "I Frères d'Art" group and participated in the gatherings of Piedmontese painters on the Amalfi Coast, in the "Turin between the two wars" exhibitions at GAM (1978) and "I pittori del Po" at Piemonte Atistico and Cultural (1989). The artist passed away in Turin in 1991.
