Otto Wilhelm Eduard Erdmann (7 December 1834, Leipzig - 9 December 1905, Düsseldorf) was a German painter who revisited the seventeenth-century Rococo.
His father was the chemist Otto Linné Erdmann. He began his artistic training at the Leipziger Akademie and later entered the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied with the genre painter Ludwig von Hagn. Read the full biography

Otto Wilhelm Eduard Erdmann (7 December 1834, Leipzig - 9 December 1905, Düsseldorf) was a German painter who revisited the seventeenth-century Rococo.
His father was the chemist Otto Linné Erdmann. He began his artistic training at the Leipziger Akademie and later entered the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied with the genre painter Ludwig von Hagn. In 1858 he settled in Düsseldorf, where he began to specialize in paintings of the Rococo period.
He became part of "Malkasten" artists. In 1898 he received the Order of the Red Eagle. In addition to his paintings, he created illustrations, most notably for the first edition of the Belgian magazine “L'Illustration Européenne" in 1870.
