Alberto Esposito was born in Cancello Arnone in 1952. He attended scientific high school but has always had a strong passion for art. This led to some scholastic difficulties and exhaustion due to the conflict between his artistic vocation and his studies. In the 1970s he moved closer to the far left and participated in several political demonstrations. However, he soon felt a growing disillusionment which led him in 1977 to radically change his life. He left his country of origin, his girlfriend, his family and his work projects to move to London, together with other artists.
Life in London allowed him to take up drawing again and approach body art, especially that experienced on the streets. However, due to family problems, he was forced to return to Italy. Here he found the space to dedicate himself to painting and immersed himself in the culture of his country. He began collecting photographs, folk songs and interviews about World War II. He collaborated in the publication of General Branco's "War diary of 1943".
Alberto Esposito has always worked in the field of contemporary art with installations, videos and exhibitions which represent another part of his artistic experiences. He experimented with different techniques and materials, but has always been guided by a strong passion for art and his vision of the world.
