Cosimo Ettore, born in Grottaglie on 2 March 1896, was an Italian ceramist and writer. After working for Vincenzo Calò's factory, he moved to Deruta to work at the ceramic company. In 1920 he spent a few months in Rome in the company "La Nuova Ceramica". Subsequently he was called by Professor Visani to become workshop manager at the Royal School of Civita Castellana, where he worked until 1925. In this year he was asked to work at the Industrial Artistic Museum of Rome, where he served. In 1936 he became the director of the art school of Civita Castellana and author of the books "How to paint on ceramics" (1936), "Ceramics in practical manufacturing systems" (1937) and "Manuale del ceramista" (1952) . After the end of the Second World War, he taught at the Art Institute of Rome.
