Andrea Favero was a well-known artist from Treviso, born in San Zenone degli Ezzelini on 26 March 1837. After studying in Venice, he participated in the Perspective Competition of the Venetian Exhibition of 1856, winning a gold medal for his painting "Ancient Moorish buildings". Over the course of his career, he participated in numerous exhibitions, receiving various awards, including the Grand Prize at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 and a gold medal at the Milan Exhibition in 1906.
Due to political reasons, Favero left Venice to join the Italian army. Subsequently, he taught at the Technical School of Matelica in the Marche region. In addition to his career as a painter, he taught art in several cities, including Mantua, Messina, Livorno and Como. He also designed various buildings that were built in the Marche region. Thanks to his efforts, the School of Art Applied to Industry promoted and started by him in Feltre was recognized and approved.
Andrea Favero died in Como on 10 June 1914.
