Maria Ferrero Gussago Biography
Cellatica (Bs) 1893 – 1982, painter who worked in Liguria. Active in Cellatica and Albisola Capo, she was one of the exponents of Second Futurism; with the artists of this group, in 1942, he participated in the Venice Biennale presenting some works, including an oil portrait of Farfa. In 1943 he joined the Sant'Elia Futurist Group and participated in the fourth Roman Quadrennial. He received Marinetti's appreciation for his aeropainting works. In the 1950s she approached experimentation of a neo-Dadaist nature, while maintaining close references to the Savonese experience gained in contact with Farfa and Tuilio d'Albisola. At the beginning of the 1960s, strongly influenced by Lucio Fontana, she engaged in spatial research which led to the plastic multiples and three-dimensional constructions of the 1970s.
