Claudio Filippini (1953 - ) exponent of Italian hyperrealism, is an important interpreter of this artistic current. In his art, with virtuous technique, Filippini moves mainly towards the representation of post-industrial urban scenarios and landscapes. He was born in Castenedolo (BS) in 1953 and lives and works in Brescia. He attended the drawing courses of the Bresciani Artists Association but his artistic activity began in 1976, when he held his first personal exhibition in Brescia. Over the years he has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in numerous collective exhibitions in private galleries and public spaces in Italy and abroad. The path taken by Filippini is the path traced by realism and hyperrealism: first the "glance" in the overall flavor of the landscape and the second the post-technological competition aimed at overcoming the camera itself. In his painting the landscape is the dominant element of a poetic where reality is the visible term of emotions. In his paintings he reveals a sensitivity interwoven with respect for the Lombard landscape of our century and our history. The characterizing element of his artistic practice is the Filippini's ability to propose to the observer, together with the subject, the impressions received in a particular moment, the lights, the changing effect of the colors and above all the fleeting emotion of an unrepeatable moment.
