Angioletta Firpo Biography
Angioletta Firpo (1947 - 1997) was an Italian artist, born in Alessandria and who died prematurely at the age of 40. Trained at the Liceo Artistico and the Accademia Albertina in Turin, she expressed herself in the field of painting and multimedia, with performances, films, videos, installations. The “Progetto Angioletta Firpo” Association was born in Alessandria on 6 February 1997 to give continuity to the idea that had animated Angioletta Firpo's activity. It aims to protect its works and promote new events along the lines of those it organized in the past; like the one that was set up in the former Boveri factory and adjoining Tinaio degli Umiliati in October 1991 entitled “Show installations of light points” or as “Timeless art”, inside the former OLVA factory in September-October 1996 The Association has carried out considerable exhibition activity in recent years.
