Sara Forte Biography
Sara Forte was born in 1978 in Verbania. Self-taught, from a very young age she dedicated herself to painting, and perfected the technique by experimenting with all pictorial practices from drawing with graphite, oil and sanguine pastels to drypoint engraving, black style and etching, arriving at oil and acrylic solutions. What was just a passion becomes a profession and everything he offers is the result of his personal experience and research. A balance of shapes and colors, pictorial tradition and innovation are the elements always present in the artist's works. The initial game of the gesture dictated by inspiration has gradually been replaced by a sign that seeks out a painting that can convey universal messages. The sign expressed by the forms of the works have changed as a function of a sort of symbolic-abstract nouvelle vague which has now become a recognizable sign of the artist's sensitivity. A figure that twists, which Forte calls "papyrus" and which is born as a metaphor of the human being, of his constant living in progress, in an incessant evolution. He collaborated with goldsmiths designing unique pieces of jewellery, and created prints for fabrics applied to the making of clothes and accessories. For years his research has been aimed at the creation of glass sculptures created directly in the most important furnaces of Murano, where the forms proposed in the paintings take on a three-dimensional and allegorical value with various references to the works of the most famous writers of the 20th century. His research is currently renews in the most recent works created on silicon disk, material that provides multitudes of information. Three-dimensional works where the artist puts aside the collage on canvas and chooses silicon as a conceptual element capable of depicting the evolution of communication, an artefact bearing witness to a discourse on man, an object of modern archeology and synthesis of the complexity of postmodern living. In fact, it is today used as the main element in the construction of tablets, smartphones and computers. A versatile experimenter of different techniques and themes, she has participated in several collective and personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He has exhibited in Italy, Austria and France. Lives and works in Milan.
