Francesco Masperi (1796 - 1851) was a man of great culture and dedicated himself to painting landscapes and perspective views under the guidance of G. Teosa. In 1840, he presented two animated landscapes with Ariosto-themed figures (Angelica and Sacripante and Pinabello and Atlas) at the Brescia University Exhibition. Subsequently he came under the influence of G. Migliara, becoming an appreciated author of perspective paintings set in atriums and gardens of his city. Masperi used oil and watercolor paint, but rarely tempera.
