Aldo Franzoni was born in Verona in 1900 and attended the Cignaroli Academy from 1914 to 1918 following the lessons of Alfredo Savini. Already in 1918 he participated in the II Art Exhibition Promoted by Civic Assistance with four works. He was a friend of the Veronese poet Lionello Fiumi, who was also one of his collectors.
Thanks to his early artistic maturity, Franzoni was able to participate in the major and most important exhibitions of the period, together with the "group of Veronese artists". In 1919, with the Veronese artists selected by Casorati, he participated in the National Exhibition of Turin with the painting "Mattino". In the same year he exhibited at Ca' Pesaro in Venice, both with the Veronese group and with artists such as Gino Rossi, Semeghini, Martini, Moggioli and Zecchin.
Franzoni participated in the Venice Biennale of 1926, 1936 and 1948, as well as in the Exhibitions of the Verona Fine Arts Society from 1921 to 1969.
