Umberto Carlo Franzosi (1891 - 1973) was a pupil of Carlo Barilli, Luca Postiglioni and Carlo Casanova. He attended the nude school at the Milan Academy.
Painter of still lifes, figures and landscapes, especially Lombard ones, his works appear in the art collections of the Cariplo Foundation (“Nevicata”) and the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan (“Public Gardens in Milan”).
He has participated in many exhibitions in Milan, Turin, Florence, at the Brera National Gallery, at the Venice Biennale and at the Roman Quadrennial.
At the Brera National Art Exhibition in 1925, he exhibited two charcoal drawings “Head of a Man” and “Sick Child”.
