The history of Fornasarig begins in 1878, when the Fornasarig brothers founded their business. It is the first factory ever dedicated to the production of chairs, in what will later become the International Chair District. In 1959 Giovanni, together with his brothers and his wife Anna, established the "Fabbrica SedieFriuli" aimed at the Italian, European and international markets. The turning point of the 1980s was decisive: the fourth Fornasarig generation entered the company. The moment coincides with the birth of a new international market: that of Contract, linked to hotel and restaurant development.
