Giò Gaiani was born in Milan in 1938. After completing his technical studies at the age of twenty, he began to dedicate himself to painting. He attended the Brera artistic circle, becoming friends with Dova, Russello, Motti and De Filippi. In 1960, Gaiani exhibited for the first time in a group show at the Tornese Gallery in Milan. Between 1960 and 1999, he successfully participated in important national competitions and painting prizes, including the Premio G. Mori di Lecco, the Premio Biennale di Bollate, the Biennale di Franciacorta and many others. In 1965, he inaugurated his first solo exhibition at the Palazzo Durini in Milan. Currently, he lives and works in Milan.
