GIOVACCHINO GALBUSERA_Born in Milan on 2 April 1870. He studied at the Brera Academy in Milan, a pupil of Giuseppe Mentessi, Camillo Rapetti and Riccardo Brambilla. Having moved to Lugano at a young age, he took part in the artistic life of Ticino, exhibiting in the main Swiss exhibitions. He also appeared at the exhibitions in Milan, Rome, Leningrad and Brussels. Besides landscape, he deals with still life, and his flower paintings are appreciated. We remember one of his large paintings representing "Val Mesolcina", purchased by the Swiss Confederation and now preserved in the Arau Museum. He took part in the National Art Exhibition in Brera in 1922, exhibiting the painting White Roses.
