Dario Galimberti, born in Chioggia in 1881, after working as a banker, began studying painting with Giuseppe Danieli. From 1924 to 1927, Dario Galimberti became the director of the Art School of Chioggia and then obtained the chair of drawing at the Gymnasium and the Municipal Technical Institute until 1932, at the same time his passion for poetry was born. The artist's favorite subjects are boats and water reflections. The colors and plastic shapes are carefully analyzed and synthesized in a precious and personal way. There is a perfect mastery of color and shapes. The artist is considered one of the greatest exponents of Chioggia's landscape painting as he acts as an intermediary between the severe and aristocratic Venetian painting and the intense chromaticism of the "Chioggisti".
Dario Galimberti died in Chioggia in 1966.
