Galli RIccardo (Milan, 1869 - Barsio, 1944) Well-known portrait painter, author of numerous posters. He studied at the Brera Academy in Milan, a pupil of the painter Berlini. He participates in exhibitions in Milan, Venice and the Turin Quadrennial. Together with Paolo Sala and Filippo Carcano he founded the Lombardi Watercolorists Association. As an illustrator he collaborated with well-known magazines of the time such as: "II Giornalino della Domenica", "l'Illustrazione Italiana" and "Novissima". He trained at the Milanese Academy of Brera under the guidance of G. Berlini. He participated in exhibitions in Milan, Venice, and the Turin Quadrennial in 1928. He founded the Lombardi Watercolorists Association with Paolo Sala and Filippo Carcano. An active illustrator for the most important periodicals ("Il Giornalino della Domenica", "L'Illustrazione Italiana", "Novissima" and others), he always knew how to maintain a personal touch even if clearly influenced by the Art Nouveau style of the time. He dedicated himself to advertising posters, also working for the Milanese publisher Ricordi, with some subjects of good decorative value.
