Daniele Galliano was born in Turin in 1961. Self-taught by training, he began to exhibit in Turin, where he lives and works, at the beginning of the 90s, quickly gaining a prominent place within that new Italian pictorial scene that began its go back to the end of the 1980s. His "photographic realism", his images of places and people, soon began to be noticed beyond our borders, and allowed him to participate in important solo and collective exhibitions in Europe and the United States. Furthermore, Galliano is one of the few protagonists of young Italian art to be known even by a larger audience than that of professionals. In recent years there have been numerous collaborations with musicians, directors and writers.
