Pietro Galter, born in 1840 in Venice, was a Venetian painter who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Galter mainly painted seascapes, both in oil and watercolor. He exhibited at the Venetian exhibitions with lagoon landscapes, at the Permanente in Milan with the work "Sulla laguna" and at the International Exhibition of Rome in 1883 with the work "Fishermen in the lagoon". He died in Florence in 1901.
