Francesco Ghisleni, born on 12 November 1901 in Bergamo, was a student at the Carrara Academy under the guidance of Ponziano Loverini and Luigi Brignoli. In 1931, he moved to Luxembourg to exhibit his works in a solo exhibition for the first time. He subsequently returned to Italy, where he held numerous personal exhibitions in the city's galleries, achieving considerable success. He then returned to Belgium, to Liège, to resume his exhibitions, obtaining excellent results. Even in Bergamo, his solo show at the Galleria della Rotonda was well received by the public. Ghisleni died in Bergamo in 1960.
