Remo Giatti Biography
Remo Giatti was born on 13 September 1954 in Grosio di Sondrio, he has lived and worked in Milan since 1983. He studied painting, engraving and lithography in Italy and abroad. Engraver and xylographer, since 1975 he has exhibited his works in 35 personal exhibitions including Trento, Milan, Rome, Venice, Barcelona, Klagenfurt, Munich, and has also participated in collective exhibitions, awards and biennials of graphics and Ex Libris. in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ecuador, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, Taiwan, China, Romania, Slovenia, former Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, England , Mexico, Argentina, Luxembourg, Canada, Greece, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Turkey, Brazil, Belarus, Japan, India. He has been awarded several times in Italy, Poland, Romania, Brazil and in Japan, where in February 2003 in Kyoto, he was awarded the 2nd Holbein Prize for Woodcut at the 4th Exhibition Kyoto International Woodprint Association - Kiwa. To date he has published around thirty portfolios and art books with watercolor illustrations, drawings, collages and graphics, also with other authors, on poetic and literary texts in numbered and limited editions. His works appear in public collections in Italy and abroad.
