Giovanni Giordani, born in 1884 in Klagenfurt, Austria, was a well-known painter and graphic designer who dedicated much of his life and artistic career to Trieste. As a professor of drawing and art history, he worked both in Lombardy in the 1930s and later in Trieste. Giordani stood out for his great participation in numerous national and international exhibitions, staging a personal exhibition almost every year both in Italy and abroad, sometimes in collaboration with his wife Frida de Reya, also a portrait painter from Trieste. He continued to paint and create until his death in 1969 in Trieste.
