Claudio Girola was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, in 1923. At an early stage in his life, he moved to Buenos Aires with his family, where he developed his artistic side with his brother Enio Iommi, in their father's sculpture workshop. In 1939 he joined the Manuel Belgrano School of Fine Arts, an institution which he then abandoned in 1943, when he sang the "Manifesto of the Four Young People" with Maldonado, Hlito and Brito, in which they expressed their opposition to the teaching guidelines . Subsequently, he moved to Chile, where he developed most of his artistic work, performed several exhibitions and worked as a professor at the School of Architecture of the Catholic University of Valparaíso. He died in 1994, in Viña del Mar, Chile.
