Born in 1970 in Brescia, where he lives and works. In 1996 he graduated in Sculpture at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan and began exhibiting in the early nineties, in Italy and abroad. Recent solo exhibitions were held in Venice on the occasion of the editions of the International Art Biennials. Marcello Gobbi's research investigates time through the process of doing. The refined technique that the artist uses to create his works, from the micro to the macro, from the object dimension to the large environmental installation, becomes a metaphor for a reflection on the sculptural body as a place of lived time.
