Félix González-Torres (Guáimaro, November 26, 1957 – Miami, January 9, 1996) was a Cuban artist. He was influenced by the minimalist art and political positions of his period of activity. Raised in Puerto Rico, he moved to New York where he exhibited from 1990 at the Andrea Rosen Gallery, until his death due to complications due to AIDS. His works, many of which invite the visitor to take part of them away and which include the use of light bulbs, clocks, paper and sweets among the materials, are considered a representation of his relationship with AIDS.
