Nicole Gravier studied at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence, where she graduated in Painting in 1971. He moved permanently to Italy in 1976. In Milan he attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts where he graduated in Painting. In 1979 he exhibited in New York at the Franklin Furnace and in Sweden at the Galerie St. Petri (Lund). Participates in the exhibition La Pratica Politica at the Gallery of Modern Art in Modena; in the same year the «Corriere della Sera Illustrato», «HERESIS» and «Progresso Fotografico», dedicated important articles to her. In 1981 she was invited to Kunst in Sozialen Kontext at the Karlsruuhe Museum and the magazine «KunstForum» dedicated its cover to her; in the same year he participated in the Typish Frau exhibition (Kunstverein Bonn, Galerie Philomena Magers and Stadtische Galerie Regensburg). The Museum of Vancouver (Canada) invites her to Mannerism. A Theory of Culture. In the same year he participated in Art Socio-Critique (Festival de La Rochelle). In 1997 she was invited to Vraiment: Féminisme et Art at the Center International d'Art Contemporain in Grenoble, with thirty women artists working in Europe and America over the last twenty years. In 1999 he participated in the Beyond the Photographic Frame exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago, which purchased one of his works.
