Timothy Greenfield-Sanders (1952) is an American photographer known for his portraits of famous people from the world of politics, culture and contemporary entertainment. His photos are often published in Vanity Fair. Greenfield-Sanders graduated in art history from Columbia University in 1974 and in cinema from the American Film Institute in 1977. The "Art World" exhibition at the Mary Boone Gallery in New York City in 1999, with over 700 portraits, represented the pinnacle of his career. In the same year Greenfield-Sanders also won a Grammy Award for the film "Lou Reed: Rock and Roll Heart". In 2004 he published the famous book "XXX: 30 Porn-Star Portraits" (ISBN 0-8212-7754-5 ).In 2006 his portraits of wounded soldiers and marines returning from the war in Iraq were exhibited all over the world.
