Gino Gregori (Milan, 6 January 1906 - Paris, 1973) was an Italian painter of the 20th century. Gino Gregori's life before 1943 remains little known. From 1935 he worked as a diplomat at the Italian embassy in Zagreb. In 1943 he was arrested and deported to Mauthausen, in that period he had already begun to paint but nothing remained as everything was confiscated during his arrest. Upon his return to Italy, he was offered a position at the Italian embassy in Paris. In 1946, he lived in Paris and founded his studio in Montparnasse, in this period he became very close to artists such as Braque, Picasso and Jacques Villon; and then began a cubist, abstract and neorelist period.
