Giuliano Grittini Biography
Giuliano Grittini was born in 1951 in Corbetta and is a photographer and artist. After obtaining a diploma in graphic design, he worked for many years in the studios of various artists and as a printing technique expert, obtaining the title of art printer. Over the course of his prolonged career, Grittini had the opportunity to collaborate with important figures such as Andy Warhol and Alda Merini, with whom the artist had a close friendship. As part of his experience as a painter, Grittini has developed his own artistic technique called "cracker art", which consists of a sort of collage that involves the destructuring of the image and the subsequent recomposition through the use of multi-material elements of text and color. His pop paintings, handmade, draw inspiration and originate from social reality, which Grittini captures through the camera lens or through images spread by advertising. In his works, the artist sublimates the icons of the 70s and 80s, such as Marilyn Monroe. Currently, the painter works in Corbetta, where he has an art print shop for the production of his works.
