Vittorio Guarnieri Biography

Vittorio Guarnieri was born in Sabbioncello San Vittore di Ferrara in 1946.
Guarnieri studied at the Dosso Dossi Art Institute in Ferrara and at the Clementina Fine Arts Academy in Bologna. Starting in 1963 he became interested in Productive Logic and Spisanian Endometry, which became a source of inspiration for his artistic works. He exhibited his first endo-artistic works, which consisted of sign interventions on foam rubber surfaces and wax spreads on paper, between 1964 and 1965. In 1968 he created his first white, gray and black paintings inspired by Paul Klee and by From 1969 to 1972 he developed a series of eighteen endometric tempera paintings, exhibited in 1973 at the Trianon Gallery in Bologna. In 1970 he studied the theoretical thought of Paul Klee, while from 1971 to 1977 he coordinated the Aesthetics Section of the Higher Center of Logic and Comparative Sciences of Bologna. In 1973 he participated in the international art exhibition “Un Futuro Possibile” and “Nuova Pittura” in Ferrara and Imola, in 1974 he exhibited twenty-one monochrome paintings at the Galleria Ferrari in Verona. Over the following years he continued to exhibit his works in numerous Italian and international exhibitions and events, dedicating himself to the production of foam rubber and polyether works. In 2009 he was included in the History of Italian Art of the Twentieth Century edited by Giorgio Di Genova. In 2015 he participated in the international contemporary art exhibition “GenerAzioni a Confronto” in Genzano di Roma and in 2016 he was present at the BeneBiennale 2016 in Benevento.
