Mirella Guidetti Giacomelli was born on January 1, 1935 in Mirabello. He attended the University of Urbino, where he specialized in foreign languages ​​and literatures under the guidance of Professor Carlo Bo. After his marriage and the birth of three daughters, he embarked on a long and in-depth journey of research in the field of figurative arts. His artistic production includes works made with different materials, which are exhibited both in Italy and in various European countries. Many of these works are present in squares, universities and public institutions. A notable example is his impressive sculpture entitled "Chess", composed of 32 figures in bronze, aluminum and iron. Initially exhibited in the courtyard of the Estense Castle, today the sculpture is located in the museum of the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Rovigo. The author also dedicates herself to medal design commissioned by the State Mint, as well as creating jewelery in limited editions and illustrating books of Italian and foreign literature. Currently, Mirella Guidetti Giacomelli lives and works in a house-atelier in Ferrara, a few steps from the bastion of Love.
