Maria Guidetti Togni Biography
Maria Guidetti Togni is a painter and artist from Brescia. The passion for the graphic technique he first used can be traced back to the experience he lived alongside his father, Pietro Guidetti, a well-known print collector. The roots of Maria Togni Guidetti's work can be found in the post-romantic experience, in the tangle of those inspirations that characterize a phase of the second French nineteenth century. And the graphics, the dry tip, are replaced by oil. Alongside the complex ghostly apparitions, tormented faces are inserted which have engraved the excited sign characterizing the graphic works in the chromatic "paste". The same imaginative universe proposed with colors that are sometimes freezing, sometimes scorching. After the first personal exhibition held in Gardone Riviera in 1965, followed in the same year by another in Cremona, Maria Togni Guidetti exhibited in Brescia (1970, 73, 77), in Salò («Al Carmine», 1971) in Verona (« Galleria Giò, 1972), Collio (1972), Milan («Galleria Le Firme», 1975), while among the participations in collective exhibitions worth mentioning are those in Rome, Gardone Riviera (1970, 71), Salò (1971) and Bornio ( 1975).
