Guido Chiti (1918 - 2003) was an artist born in Cerreto Guidi (Florence) in 1918 and died in Genoa in 2003. Most of his human and artistic life took place and took place in Genoa. Since 1938 he has exhibited in personal and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad, often in very important galleries including the "Don Bosco", of which Felice Casorati was the inspiration, the "Cercle" in Paris, the "Cavour" and Il Milione” in Milan. In 1941 he met the art critic and art historian GC Argan in Rome who took an interest in his work. From the early 1940s to the 1980s, for Guido Chiti it was all a crescendo of creative fervor and high-level exhibition activities all over the world. In particular, we note his participation in the Venice International Art Biennale, 1948-1950-1956-1962 editions. Guido Chiti in 1959 at the exhibition "Painters of today, Italy-France" held at the Museum of Modern Art in Turin, was noted as one of the most interesting Italian artists of his generation. In 1987 the Municipality of Genoa dedicated a large exhibition to him.
