(Baghdad, 31 October 1950). An exponent of deconstructivism, she was the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize. Born in Iraq, she studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut before moving to London to study at the Architectural Association. Since the 1980s he has taught at the Architectural Association. In 2002 Hadid won the international competition to design the master plan for Singapore one-north. In 2005, his design won the competition for the new Casino in the city of Basel in Switzerland. In Rome, the MAXXI, the new center for contemporary arts, was completed in 2009. He is a member of the editorial board of the Encyclopedia Britannica. In 2010, TIME included her in the list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
