Jenny Holzer (Gallipolis, July 29, 1950) is an American artist. Jenny Holzer is a neo-conceptual artist. He lives in Hoosick Falls, New York. The key points of his works are the distribution of words and ideas in public spaces. Holzer belongs to the feminist branch of the generation of artists who emerged in the 1980s. Her contemporaries include Barbara Kruger, Cindy Sherman, Sarah Charlesworth, and Louise Lawler. In 1995, coinciding with the expansion of the web, he created his first interactive project for the internet, making some of his most famous Truisms modifiable by the user. The most recent goal of his artistic research is represented by xenon projections: presented for the first time in Florence in 1996, in these works the luminous phrases form long texts that flow on urban surfaces, taking on unprecedented connotations of great visual appeal.
