Ottmar Hörl (born 1950 in Nauheim, Germany) is a German conceptual artist. He achieved worldwide popularity thanks to his radical and avant-garde artistic concepts, as well as large-scale projects with serial sculptures in public spaces. Since 1999, Hörl has held the position of professor at the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts, and has been president of the Academy since 2005. Furthermore, he is one of the founding members of the Formalhaut group. Ottmar Hörl lives and works in Wertheim, Frankfurt and Nuremberg.
