Zhongfang Huang, more commonly known as Harold Wong, was born in Shanghai in 1943. Wong is best known for his evocative landscapes.
He moved with his family to Hong Kong where he lived until leaving for Paris in 1962-1963. Here he continued his education and attended the painter and portraitist Edward Seago in Norfolk. In 1977 he opened his first gallery in Hong Kong and, in the same years, studied painting at the University of Hong Kong.
During the 1980s and 1990s he opened several galleries: the second in Hong Kong, Taipei and New York, and participated in international exhibitions.
His works are commonly sold at the most prestigious international auction houses and published in the major international specialist magazines, as well as in monographic catalogues.
